Chassis: Chassis is basically the main structure in the vehicle upon which the entire vehicle sits. It is like a frame made out of steel. Depending on the vehicle there are two types of chassis – body-on-frame chassis and unibody chassis. The body-on-frame chassis is made using steel that joined together through welding. The unibody chassis is formed from stamped metal sheets and body parts.

Bumpers: All vehicles have bumpers located in the front and rear portion of the vehicle. The main role of the bumper is to absorb an impact and reduce damage to the vehicle. Bumpers also minimise impact on the pedestrians and reduce the injury. Generally, bumpers are made from Polymer fibre.

Grilles and Hood: Grilles and hood is located at the front portion of a vehicle. Every vehicle has a differently shaped grille and a hood. The grille is the part that allow air intake for the engine. And the hood also known as the bonnet is the cover for the entire engine and related parts. Besides their technical profile they are also designed to elevate the overall look of the vehicle.

Dashboard: Car dashboard is the central panel that sits behind a vehicle’s steering wheel and in the line of sight for a driver. The dashboard has within it important information useful to a driver. They include speed gauge, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, headlight with high beam icon, door open icon, time, oil level icon, battery charge icon and more. Every vehicle dashboard design and icon will vary depending on the vehicle make and model.

Windshield Glass: The vehicle windshield glasses are the glass situated in the front and rear portion of the vehicle. It plays a big role in protecting occupants and the driver by blocking the wind from entering the vehicle, when the vehicle in in motions. It also plays a big role in weathering various climatic conditions like sun, rain water, snow flakes etc. Because it is made from glass, windshields are prone to damages.

Roof Head Lining & Silencer Pad: The roof headliner and silencer pad in the vehicle is the cover that drapes the inside part of the vehicle roof. It is the soft portion that also helps contain outside sounds from entering the vehicle. With time the head lining and silencer pad deteriorates.

Rear Body Panels: The rear body panels in the vehicle is the rear portion of the vehicle beginning from the rear door of each side and running all the way to the back. This part also houses the rear trunk, rear indicators, rear light etc.

Front & Rear Door Panels: The front and rear door panels are made of steel and are designed to withstand minor impact caused while driving or parking etc. The front and rear door panels also enhance the vehicle looks and offer extra protection with the inclusion of windows that are fitted within them.

Seats: Seats in the vehicle are known to provide comfort and absorb all shocks from the journey. They are usually made from components like steel, cloth and cushion. Depending on the vehicle type there can be either joined or individual front seat or joined or individual rear seats.

Body Stripes: In order to enhance the overall look of the vehicle, particularly among pick-ups, SUVs and MPVs, Body Stripes are provided on the sides of the vehicle. They are usually made of flex material.

Mudguard & Rear Spoiler: Mudguards and rear spoiler are two different parts in vehicles. As the name suggests, mudguards protect the vehicle from mud that is flung on the car. This can be best observed during the monsoon season when the roads are wet. The rear spoiler on the other hand offers driving stability to a vehicle affected by winds especially during higher speeds.

Fuel Tank & Tube: The fuel tank and fuel tube are parts that are located at the rear of the vehicle generally. The fuel tank is the tank that stores petrol or diesel fuel. Through the fuel tube the petrol enter the tank for storage. Every vehicle’s fuel tank and storage capacity is built depending on the size of the vehicle and the size of the engine.
